Pupil Premium funding provides over £1,000 for every eligible child. This funding is allocated directly to our academy budget and is used to enhance learning opportunities, resources and support for our pupils.
Since the introduction of Universal Free School Meals for all children in Reception and Key Stage 1, fewer families have been applying for this additional funding. As a result, this can significantly reduce the extra opportunities and support we are able to provide for all children across the school.
Checking whether your child is eligible is quick and simple. If you receive any of the benefits listed below, your child may qualify for Pupil Premium funding:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and your annual gross income is no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
- Universal Credit
